1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. They let the site remember information between page views and visits.

2. Necessary cookies

These two cookies are set by the Site itself. They are needed for it to work as you expect and do not track you:

• NEXT_LOCALE — remembers the language you chose with the language switcher, so the site opens in that language next time. Kept for 12 months.
• cookie_consent — remembers whether you accepted or declined Google's cookies in the cookie banner, so we don't ask again on every visit. Kept for 6 months.

3. Analytics and advertising cookies (only with your consent)

If you accept Google's cookies in the banner, the Site loads Google Analytics 4, a service of Google, which helps us understand how visitors use the Site: which pages are viewed, for how long, from which countries, and how visitors arrived. Google Analytics sets these cookies:

• _ga — a random identifier that distinguishes visitors. Kept for 2 years.
• _ga_XWYKENWC5W — keeps track of the current browsing session. Kept for 2 years.

With the same consent, Google Analytics passes on to our Google Ads account whether a visit that started with a click on one of our ads ended with a submitted form, so we can see which campaigns bring enquiries. For this it sets:

• _gcl_au — links visits to ad clicks for conversion measurement. Kept for 3 months.
• _gcl_aw — the identifier of the Google Ads click that brought you to the Site; only set if you arrived through one of our ads. Kept for 3 months.

These cookies are not used to show you personalised ads or to build advertising audiences.

The data collected is processed by Google and may be transferred to servers outside the European Economic Area, including the United States, under the safeguards described in our Privacy Policy. If you decline, or close the banner without answering, none of this is loaded and the Site works fully without it.

The Site also counts visits with Umami, a cookieless analytics tool. It sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser, which is why it is not listed here; what it records is described in Section 5 of our Privacy Policy.

4. Videos

Some pages show our videos, which are hosted on YouTube, a service of Google. Until you press play, you see only a still image from our own server: nothing is loaded from YouTube and no cookie is set. When you press play, the video is loaded from youtube-nocookie.com, YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode, and YouTube may then store cookies or similar data in your browser — for example to remember your playback settings and to protect its service from abuse. These are set by YouTube under Google’s privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy), not by us, and the cookie banner does not control them; you can delete or block them in your browser settings.

5. Changing your choice

You can change your answer at any time: click “Cookie settings” in the footer of any page to reopen the banner. If you withdraw consent, the Google Analytics and Google Ads cookies are deleted and no further data is collected.

You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block the language cookie, the site will choose a language from your browser settings on each visit; if you block the consent cookie, the banner will appear on every visit.

6. Changes to this policy

If we add or change cookies, we will update this policy and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent again.
